Dorm food.

I'm on very early today simply because I wanted to share an idea I just had for a quick snack/dinner. My immediate family are probably the only people who know how weird the things I eat can be, so I decided to change that a bit and share with you. I have long been a fan of mixing cheese and nuts together, and today I decided to add a third element to enhance the experience.

You need:
1/4 cup of cashew halves and pieces
1/4 cup of fresh crumbled feta cheese
1 bratwurst or cheddarwurst

Already you're excited. I can tell.
Mix the cashews and feta together in a small bowl.
Cook the sausage in the microwave for 45 seconds, then cut it up into small slices, and half each slice.
Mix chopped sausage into the bowl with the cheese and nuts.
Eat (spoon recommended).

This last step should be done relatively quickly, as you want to experience the contrast of the warm cheddarwurst with the cold feta and the crunch of the cashews. Waiting will convince your sausage to become lukewarm, and we all know how disappointing that can be. You also have three important elements of flavor: sharply cheesey, nutty, and meaty, so you're totally set for that snack. Larger portions can be fixed for a whole meal. Maybe with a carrot on the side.

Alright, that's all I wanted to share for now. I'll be back on later tonight to blog about other things. A tout a l'heure (a.k.a. toodeloo).
